Janica Music - piano lessons in Arlington, MA
Janica Janakieva, pianist and teacher, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Music Academy, Bulgaria and a Master's Degree in Musical Art and Piano Performance from the New Bulgarian University in Sofia, Bulgaria. She started piano lessons at age five and chorus at age seven. She toured Europe extensively performing for audiences and in competitions. While earning her Master's Degree, she was privileged to study with the great pianist, performer, and teacher Milena Mollova. Milena Mollova won fifth place in the first Tchaikovsky competition and studied with the famous Russian master pianist Emil Gilels in Moscow.
Since moving to the US, Janica Janakieva continued her education in piano teaching and music production and technology at New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Janica Janakieva is a member of MTNA - Music Teachers National Association, MMTA - The Massachusetts Music Teachers Association, and NEPTA - New England Piano Teachers Association.
While continuing to expand her piano repertoire, Janica is teaching at her studio and accepting new students.
